It is hard to say if this self activation is being caused by the door opener electronics or the wiring/outlet.
I would start with plugging operator into a surge protector. Hopefully this will eliminate problem with power surges. If lightning strikes close by, this can also cause door to open and there is nothing to solve that problem, although older operators (15+ years)
are more susceptible to this.
